Reza J. Sharifi, DMD, FACS

Meet Dr. Sharifi

Dr. Sharifi was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He received his undergraduate degree from Portland State University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine.

He then completed his Oral Surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was the Assistant Program Director at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center Oral Surgery Residency program while he was stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He was honored with numerous awards while serving in the military and has experience lecturing to his dental colleagues.  

Dr. Sharifi currently holds hospital and operating room credentials at Providence Medical Centers, Legacy Meridian Park, and the Center for Surgical Specialty. In addition to practicing in Portland, he is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the OHSU School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The Governor appointed and the Senate confirmed Dr. Sharifi as the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon on the Oregon Board of Dentistry. He also serves at the Chair of the Oregon Board of Dentistry’s Anesthesia Committee.

His personal philosophy is to treat all patients with respect, compassion, empathy, and transparency. He prides himself in advocating for his patient’s and making them feel comfortable throughout the entire consultation and surgical process.

Beyond surgery, teaching, and serving the community, Dr. Sharifi values quality time with his family and friends. He is an avid skier, unpredictable golfer, fitness, and pacific northwest outdoor enthusiast.
